Yes, you’ll find free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel – in your room and all our cosy corners – should you need to stay connected (or upload a snap of your scones).
Yes, we’ve got plenty of free on-site parking for our guests – no tickets, no time limits, just pull up and you’re all set.
You can – we’ve got a dedicated EV double-charging point available on-site. There’s a small fee just to cover the cost of the electricity used, and it’s best to let us know ahead of time if you’ll need it so we can make sure it’s free for you.
Our bike shed is locked and secure – fitted with racks, a pump, and a repair kit for any tweaks. It does get busy during cycling season, so do let us know in advance if you’re bringing your bike and we’ll save you a spot.
The nearest train station is Garsdale, just a short drive away, and the Little White Bus offers a local service through the Dales.
Taxis can be tricky (we are pretty rural), so we strongly recommend booking ahead. Need help with arrangements? The reception team is happy to assist.

As many will know, we’ve never been ones to take centre stage here at Stone House. From the very beginning, we’ve believed that the hotel is not defined by its owners, but by its people – the wonderful team who make the hotel so special, and the fantastic guests who bring such warmth and good cheer.
That said, we also know there’s a natural curiosity about who’s behind the scenes, so we thought it was time to properly say hello. We’re Joe and Holly, and this is our daughter, Amelie.
Whilst much of what we do goes on in the background, we’re very much hands-on and present in the day-to-day life of Stone House – working closely with the team to gently shape the hotel’s operations, and to make sure everything runs smoothly. There’s no private equity firm or investment group behind us – we’re just a small, family-run business, doing our best to support and care for the place we love.
We see ourselves as custodians of Stone House, and we take that responsibility very seriously. Our aim is simple: to protect what makes it so special, and to ensure that it remains a welcoming home for our guests and a rewarding, enjoyable place for our team to work – for many years to come.
Since taking over in November 2022, we’ve felt incredibly fortunate to work alongside such an exceptional team – their genuine care, professionalism, and pride in what they do are at the heart of everything here. They really are what makes Stone House so unique.
And, of course, we’ve so enjoyed meeting so many of our guests – and have been deeply touched by the warmth, kindness and loyalty shown to us. It’s a privilege to welcome such lovely people to this special place, and we feel very lucky to be able to share it with you.

At Stone House, we’re always happy to welcome well-behaved dogs in a selection of our rooms, making it easy to enjoy a proper break in the Yorkshire Dales together.
After a day spent exploring, they’ll find a few thoughtful touches waiting back at the hotel too: a cosy spot by the fire, a snuggly dog blanket in their room, and a dog bed and treats on request.
Because out here, the best days are the ones spent outdoors, and they’re even better when everyone gets to join in.
